What to do right now
Sip small amounts of water or oral rehydration often, rest, and avoid heavy food. Note your symptoms and how long they have lasted. If you are dehydrated, feverish, or not improving, book a visit — a nurse or doctor can come any time of day or night, with medication and IV fluids if needed.

Home doctor vs. the emergency room
A home visit is right when
- You have food poisoning, fever, or need an IV but can still stay in your room
- You want an English-speaking clinician to come to you
- You need an itemized English invoice for travel insurance
Go to a hospital / call 115 if
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting, or confusion
- Blood in vomit or stool, or a fever that will not come down
- A serious injury, pregnancy emergency, or anything life-threatening

Insurance & medical reports
After every visit you receive an itemized invoice and a medical report in English, showing the diagnosis, treatment and cost — the documents most travel insurers (Allianz, AXA, Bupa, Cigna and others) ask for when you claim. Ask us if you need anything specific for your policy.
