Da Nang is where Y Tế Xanh is based, so this is the city where we can usually confirm a time fastest. Our own doctors and nurses come to hotels, serviced apartments and homes across all seven districts — or you can come to our clinic in Cẩm Lệ.
This is not an emergency service. For critical situations (severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, loss of consciousness, heavy bleeding) call 115 immediately.
How we work in Da Nang
You have two ways to be seen in Da Nang: our team comes to where you are staying, or you come to our clinic at 06 Xuân Thủy, Cẩm Lệ. Because this is our home city, we can normally give you a specific time on the phone rather than a vague window. Tell us the hotel name or the district and what is going on, and we will say plainly whether we can get someone to you and when.
English spoken, every day
An Thượng, My Khe and Sơn Trà are areas we work in constantly, so being seen in English is routine here — say so when you call and we will send someone who speaks it.
Licensed doctors and nurses
The person who comes to you is a doctor or nurse holding a professional practice licence. They follow the treatment plan and write down what was done.
Paperwork for your insurer
You get an invoice for every visit, and we can issue it in English for a travel insurance claim — ask when you book, not afterwards.
We say no when it is a no
If what you describe needs a hospital, we tell you to go to a hospital. We are not an emergency service and we will not keep you waiting to find that out.

Healthcare in Da Nang: hospitals, pharmacies and choosing a specialty
This section is here so you can orient yourself in Da Nang — which hospital handles what, where to buy medicine, and which problems do not need a hospital at all.
Da Nang gives you more options than anywhere else we work, which is good news but also the reason people pick wrong: three large public hospitals sit close together, their names are similar, and each is strong at something different. Public hospitals in Da Nang
Da Nang Hospital — the Quang Trung / Hai Phong block, city centre
The largest public hospital in the city and the facility that receives serious cases for the whole region. We name the block rather than a single house number because official sources give two different street frontages for the same campus. For the red flags — heavy bleeding, breathing difficulty, chest pain, a head injury with drowsiness — call 115 and come here.
Da Nang C Hospital — 122 Hai Phong
A public hospital under the Ministry of Health, immediately next door to the one above. These two are genuinely easy to confuse, being adjacent with similar names; if you are given an appointment, confirm which one.
Hospital 199 — 216 Nguyen Cong Tru, An Hai
A Class I public hospital under the Ministry of Public Security, 450 beds, with 24/7 emergency cover according to the hospital's own site. What makes it worth knowing for foreign visitors: its site has a dedicated international-guest service section and a language switcher for English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Russian. But read it at the right level: that international offering is screening packages, and the site says nothing about English-speaking doctors in the emergency department. Do not infer what the hospital has not stated.
Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children
The city's public maternity and paediatric hospital. This is where obstetric and paediatric cases for the region concentrate, so if your problem is in either group, going straight to the specialist hospital is faster than going to a general hospital and being referred on.
Buying medicine in Da Nang
Da Nang is the easiest place we work for buying medicine. Pharmacity's own 24/7 list names two stores here — 186 Le Duan and 189 Nguyen Van Thoai — and FPT Long Chau is very densely present across the city. This is one of very few places in Vietnam where you can almost always buy medicine at two in the morning.
- Three chains cover most of the country: FPT Long Châu (around 2,600 stores, the largest), Pharmacity (over 1,100) and An Khang (over 400). Long Châu's published hours are 06:00–23:00 and vary by store.
- Guardian is not a pharmacy — it is a health-and-beauty retailer. Do not go there to fill a prescription.
- Antibiotics are legally prescription-only, but in practice they are still widely sold without one. That is not a reason to self-prescribe: the wrong antibiotic, or the wrong dose, makes things worse.
- Ask by generic name rather than the brand you know from home — paracetamol, ibuprofen, loratadine and oral rehydration salts are understood everywhere.
- Bring the original packaging and prescription for anything you take long-term. Worth knowing: in Vietnam it is against the rules to carry more than seven days of prescribed medicine, and counterfeit medicines do circulate — so for anything important, prefer a major chain or a hospital pharmacy.
Where to go for what
Emergencies and major trauma
Call 115 and go to Da Nang Hospital. This is the facility that takes serious cases for the whole region, so for major trauma there is nothing further to weigh up.
Maternity and children
Go directly to the Hospital for Women and Children rather than to a general hospital and then waiting to be referred. With a child who has a high fever, is vomiting repeatedly or is dehydrated, saving one step saves a lot.
Outpatient and screening packages for foreigners
Hospital 199 is the only public facility in the city with its own information section for international guests and a language switcher. Suited to scheduled screening packages, not to urgent situations.
The things that have to be repeated
Dressing changes, stitch removal, injections by indication, post-operative monitoring, physiotherapy, scheduled care for an older relative. This is the location where we do most of this work, and where we can usually give you the most specific time slot.
Travelling alone and being admitted
This is what foreign patients are least prepared for. Wards in Vietnamese public hospitals are organised on the assumption that a family member stays with the patient to help with meals, movement and communication.
