Where we work

Home doctor and nurse visits in Quy Nhon

Our doctors and nurses work here in Quy Nhon. They come to your hotel, resort or home — along the An Duong Vuong beach road, around Ghenh Rang and out to the Nhon Ly and Eo Gio resorts — to examine you, put up a drip, change a dressing or look after an older relative.

This is not an emergency service. For critical situations (severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, loss of consciousness, heavy bleeding) call 115 immediately.

How we work in Quy Nhon

In a coastal city like Quy Nhon, two things most often bring a doctor to where you are staying: a stomach upset after a seafood meal, and dehydration after a day in the sun — usually in the evening, once the nearest pharmacy has shut. Our doctors and nurses live and work here, hold professional practice licences, and run the same model and the same staffing and governance standards as every other Y Tế Xanh location. We do not have a clinic you can visit in Quy Nhon, so there is only one way we work here: we come to where you are staying. Accommodation is spread over more than 20 km of coast and the Nhon Ly resorts sit well to the north, so tell us the name of your hotel when you call and we will give you a real time slot rather than a vague one.

Our team is here in Quy Nhon

Nobody is driving in from another province. The doctor or nurse who comes to you is based in this city and holds a professional practice licence.

Seafood cases are routine work for us

Vomiting, diarrhoea and dehydration after a seafood dinner is routine work for our teams in coastal cities. A doctor assesses how dehydrated you are, puts up fluids where you are staying if you need them, and tells you plainly when something has to be seen at a hospital instead.

We reach the resorts up north

Nhon Ly and Eo Gio are about 20 km from the centre, and Ky Co is only reachable by boat. Give us the name of the resort or the beach when you call. If we cannot get there inside the window you need, we say so on the call instead of taking the booking and leaving you waiting.

You will know what medication you need

After the visit the doctor writes down exactly what to take and at what dose, and points you to somewhere near your hotel if anything has to be bought. An invoice for every visit, in English on request.

Healthcare in Quy Nhon: hospitals, pharmacies and choosing a specialty

This section is here so you can orient yourself in Quy Nhon — which hospital handles what, where to buy medicine, and which problems do not need a hospital at all.

Quy Nhon has one thing worth knowing in advance that has nothing to do with medicine but could decide whether you reach the right place: after the 2025 administrative merger, the city's main hospital was renamed, and its new name is very close to that of a different hospital about 160 km away. So in the section below we give the address, not just the name.

Public hospitals in Quy Nhon

The provincial-level general hospital in Quy Nhon — 106 Nguyễn Huệ

This is the largest general hospital in the city, Class I, and the de-facto emergency destination. Be aware: after the merger this facility carries a name containing "Gia Lai", and in Pleiku — about 160 km away, up in the highlands — there is a different provincial hospital with a near-identical name. They are entirely separate places. When you call a car or ask your hotel, give the address, 106 Nguyễn Huệ, Quy Nhon, not just the hospital name.

Malaria: the CDC names Quy Nhon as having none

This is easy to misread after the merger, so to be explicit: Gia Lai province appears on the US CDC's list of provinces where malaria prophylaxis is recommended, but the CDC separately names Quy Nhon among the cities with no malaria risk. Quy Nhon is now in Gia Lai — do not let the new province name make you think this coastal city carries that risk. The risk is in rural and forested areas.

Buying medicine in Quy Nhon

In the search-demand figures we measured for Quy Nhon, "pharmacy near me" is larger than "doctor near me" — and that is a fairly accurate signal of what actually happens here: most of it is buying medicine, not being admitted. We are not printing a list of pharmacy addresses for Quy Nhon, because we have no source we can verify as current for this city; check the specific store on a map or ask your hotel to phone ahead. And because accommodation here is spread over more than 20 km of coast, the pharmacy near your resort may not be the pharmacy near the centre.

  • Three chains cover most of the country: FPT Long Châu (around 2,600 stores, the largest), Pharmacity (over 1,100) and An Khang (over 400). Long Châu's published hours are 06:00–23:00 and vary by store.
  • Guardian is not a pharmacy — it is a health-and-beauty retailer. Do not go there to fill a prescription.
  • Antibiotics are legally prescription-only, but in practice they are still widely sold without one. That is not a reason to self-prescribe: the wrong antibiotic, or the wrong dose, makes things worse.
  • Ask by generic name rather than the brand you know from home — paracetamol, ibuprofen, loratadine and oral rehydration salts are understood everywhere.
  • Bring the original packaging and prescription for anything you take long-term. Worth knowing: in Vietnam it is against the rules to carry more than seven days of prescribed medicine, and counterfeit medicines do circulate — so for anything important, prefer a major chain or a hospital pharmacy.

Where to go for what

Stomach trouble after a seafood meal

The most common reason visitors in a coastal city call a doctor to where they are staying, and usually in the evening once the nearest pharmacy has shut. A doctor comes and assesses how dehydrated you are along with pulse, blood pressure and your abdomen, then gives fluids where indicated. But vomiting blood, black stools, severe abdominal pain or confusion mean going to a facility immediately — not being monitored in a hotel room.

Sun and dehydration

The simplest case of all, and one that can be handled entirely where you are staying.

Distance inside the city itself

This is Quy Nhon's own quirk: accommodation is spread over more than 20 km of coast, the Nhơn Lý and Eo Gió cluster sits about 20 km north of the centre, and Kỳ Co is only reachable by boat. So "nearby" does not have one meaning here. When you call anyone — us, a car, or a hospital — give the name of your accommodation rather than the name of the city.

Emergencies

Call 115 and go to 106 Nguyễn Huệ. See the note about the hospital name above — this is a place where reading out the address rather than the name can save you a great deal of time.

The things that have to be repeated

Dressing changes, stitch removal, injections by indication, post-operative monitoring, scheduled care for an older relative. For resorts well outside the centre, this is exactly the group of things that should not mean a trip each time.

Where GreenCare fits in

We have no place in Quy Nhon where patients come to us — our own doctors and nurses are based here and come to the hotel, resort or house where you are staying, from the An Dương Vương strip and Ghềnh Ráng out to Nhơn Lý and Eo Gió. Where we fit in the picture above: the hospital handles what needs imaging, surgery or admission; we handle the rest — and here that share is large, because the two things most often needed, a stomach upset after seafood and dehydration after a day in the sun, can both be dealt with where you are staying. Add to that dressing changes, stitch removal, injections by indication and longer-term scheduled care. Our doctors and nurses work in Vietnamese and English; if you need German, Japanese, Korean, Russian or Chinese, say so when you book and we will arrange interpreting. There is an invoice for every visit, with an English version if you need one for insurance — ask for it during the visit itself.

Language

Tell us which language you need when you book. Our doctors and nurses work in Vietnamese and English; the coordinators on the 24/7 line also speak German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean — they take the call and arrange the visit. Where a case needs it we arrange interpreting for the visit itself, rather than leaving you to translate.

We name public hospitals only, and only to help you orient yourself — this is not our professional assessment of any facility. In an emergency, call 115 or go to the nearest emergency department first.

Frequently asked questions — Quy Nhon

Do you have a clinic in Quy Nhon I can visit?
No — we do not have a clinic you can come to in Quy Nhon. Our doctors and nurses are based here in the city and come to your hotel, resort or home instead. Call ahead so we can confirm a time.
I have diarrhoea and vomiting after a seafood meal. Can you come?
Yes. It is routine work for our coastal teams, and the Quy Nhon team runs the same model and the same standards as everywhere else. The doctor checks how dehydrated you are along with pulse, blood pressure and your abdomen, and can give fluids or medication as prescribed where you are staying. If there is blood in the vomit, black stools, severe abdominal pain or confusion, call 115 or go to the nearest hospital first — those signs cannot be watched from a hotel room.
We are at a resort in Nhon Ly, well outside town. Do you still come?
Tell us the name of the resort when you call. We cover the An Duong Vuong beach road, Ghenh Rang, the town around Thap Doi and the Nhon Ly and Eo Gio direction. The run out to Nhon Ly takes longer, so we agree a specific time rather than promising to be there soon; anywhere outside what we can reach, we tell you on the call.
Can you look after an elderly relative here for several days?
Yes. We put a nurse on a fixed rota and confirm the cost before anything starts. Tell us roughly how many days and where you are staying — for somewhere as far out as Nhon Ly the earlier we know, the more likely we can hold the same nurse for you rather than splitting the shifts.

What our patients say

Absolutely fantastic experience. My wife became very poorly with a stomach bug, and they were very quick to respond on a Sunday. They sent someone over to check on her and provide her with medication and blood work. So grateful to have the service in Da Nang and would highly recommend it if you are feeling unwell and you want someone to come to you.
